History:
Born during the Palace's long absence, she was the daughter of a trio of Sun Villager maidens who longed to be mothers. The trio finally got their wish with a bit of help from a healer. Who actually bore her, has never really mattered to Azjarati and since all three raised her as equal mother figures, it really never made a difference. Her father is unknown though she was told he had wolf-blood and thus, so did she. Excited about her history, Azjarati grew up hearing tales of Cutter and his merry band, or watching Dart and his jackwolfriders grow and become the protectors of the Sun Village.

It was no surprise to her mothers when she decided to join up - especially not after she bonded with a hefty hyperactive jackwolf she promptly named Sandburrower. Of her mothers, Reysha was the one who joined her in her desire to learn to ride and fight for the Village, Maara taught her how to make her own garments through tailoring and spin fine silkworm thread into being, but she would get bored too easily and would often leave her work unfinished. She'd even begun learning how to spin preserver thread but grew bored and never completed her training. Vashti taught her the allure of attracting attention with pretty scarves and alluring makeup; she also taught her how to make her own jewelry and eventually instructed her in the pleasures of serving the village as an initiator. She also taught her much about Sun Villager entertainment and how to use her exotic looks to get what she wanted.

Her mothers, eternal lovemates and friends, were often ribbing one another - a pastime, Azjarati learned much from. She grew into a quick witted, sharp tongued little she-wolf with a fox's cunning. Her friends began to call her the 'desert fox' for her personality and the silver streak at her temple; this moniker stuck with her and eventually the name "Vixen" was used interchangeably with her real name until her real name was all but forgotten altogether. The maiden kept her mothers on their toes, and they kept her happily spoiled up until the Go Backs came for the little palace.

Still young enough to feel she ought to prove herself, Vixen went toe-to-toe with a seasoned warrior and was badly wounded. Fortunately, she and her bondwolf, Sandburrower, were among those saved in wrapstuff and slept until Mender and Leetah combined their healing gifts to save their lives. When she awoke, she found that the life she had once known was utterly changed. Reysha had died during the battle that had nearly taken her life; Vashti had disappeared during the time Vixen was in wrapstuff and Maara had become a sullen and bitter elder. Try as she might to piece her life back together, Vixen found herself uncertain what to do. She took to climbing the rocks around the village as training, and to be a useful lookout. When the humans attacked, she hid with her other kin in the underground tunnels and was overjoyed when the Palace came to rescue them. Ashamed of her inability to be a protector like she'd thought she could be, Vixen devoted time to learning from the spirits in the palace what they would teach her about being a better wolfrider and attempted to find if she had a magic of her own.

It was during this time she reconnected with the spirit of her deceased parent. Reysha, having awoken in the Palace, sought her and Maara out; slowly under Reysha's watchful spirit gaze, Maara began to heal from the ancient hatred and distrust of her fellow elf. To Vixen, Reysha encouraged the young maiden to seek out her wolfrider kin, knowing that the girl was beginning to hate staying cooped up in the Palace any longer. Joining Ember's Howling Rock Tribe, she lived there for the next 50 years of her young life but found her antics were not often appreciated. There was much she still had to learn about being a wolfrider - and about herself.

Deciding to join the small contingent that decied to join Wolfdancer's tribe, the maiden is hopeful to find a new home and reunite with old friends among the splinter tribe. She also hopes to prove to herself she is every bit the wolfrider she thinks she is.




Often seen wearing:
A low cut black and forest green tunic, with blue sleeves & accents, fur trimmed shoulders, black shorts and black boots.
Gold necklace, wrist cuffs and hoop earrings; she has a blue belt made with a peacock feather clasp.
She also has a 'foxtail' that she dons in the winter and trades her short sleeves in for long blue sleeves, green vest with hood and a pair of black pants and brown boots.
She dual-wields two short blades at her hip and usually has throwing dirks hidden somewhere on her body.

Appearance:
Hair: Auburn locks that fall naturally into large bouncy curls. She has a silvery streak at her temple that falls across one side of her face. (She's recently shorn her hair to the asymmetrical style- below)



Eyes: Sultry silvery-blue, usually with green eyeshadow and black kohl eyeliner
Eyebrows:  thin, playfully-arch
Lips: Pouty painted red lips - upper lip a darker shade than lower
Features: Heart-shaped face, "Vixen" has gently sloped cheekbones, a downturned nose and medium brown complexion for a Sun Villager. She's got the look of a sultry fox about her and is usually up to some mischief or another.
Body: (similar to Maleen) 3'9; curvy enough to be quite attractive, but lithe of body and toned. Vixen exudes how comfortable she is in her own skin, and how willing she is to share with anyone who wishes to know that comfort.

Coloring: brindle colored jackwolf with a white patch on his muzzle;
Features:  medium-large build, large paws, and silver eyes.
Quirks: Named for his penchance to mark and then kick mounds of sand afterward, forming mini 'dunes' in his wake.
Personality: Strong and protective of his bond, playful to those he likes, but will growl, hackles up, if he doesn't know or like you. He particularly loves having the base of his tail rubbed. Currently a lone wolf searching for a pack, he's been displaced as he was wounded with his rider during the war for the little palace. He was healed, but his original pack is all gone. He's spent time in the palace with Vixen, but that too has kept him from a proper pack until now. He's itching to find a place to call home.
