[&]History: Kata was the firstborn of Elion and Repari -- a couple who were very devoted to each other. Her childhood was pretty uneventful. It was decent, balanced, and she was well loved.

When Kata was 9 years old, she had a near-drowning experience, which has given her a trauma strong enough to avoid large bodies of water even to this day. One day, Kata had gone to swim alone to a lake. Accidentally, she had exceeded her own strength and swum too far only to notice she had no power to get back again. She spluttered and sent for help -- which was responded by Kithrian, who had come to let the ponies swim and drink. Kith saved Kata on the brink of time, and Kata still holds respect for her elder for that.

Elion and Repari Recognized each other again, when Kata was a pre-teen, thus, her little brother Malaki was born later on. The older sister helped to look after her brother, as well as she learned the tricks for baking from her mother Elion.

Life went onward, Kata grew up, and took interest in mature things. But not everything was peachy. Elion went alone to gather some herbs, and did not notice she had roused a snake. The snake was fast and one of the most venomous thing on the plains -- Elion's death was swift and clean.

Kata and Malaki mourned in their own way, but their sorrow also made them fight a lot during that time, fights becoming verbal and often physical wrestles and fistfights. Their father Repari did not interfere too much, as he thought the siblings would sort it out themselves. Elion had always been the more coddling and nurturing one.

To Kata, Malaki seemed unnecessary upset at everything, so she eventually pushed him to take out his frustration at the snakes. It resulted to yet another fight, but also Malaki's interest turned to the snake poison.

Eventually, the mourning was done and the mental wounds healed and patched up. Relationship between the baker and her little brother grew from bad to decent and even loving. Repari got over his loss and eventually took another mate, with whom he did not get any children. This mating was more of a two widows comforting each other, but her father's new happiness also made Kata happy.

It seemed like the life was back on right trail again, but then the hunting accident happened. Repari had been out, and accidentally took a tumble to a small gorge that had been a river. Bones and something in his spine were broken, and he was beyond help. One parent already lost, Kata did not take this loss too deeply -- they had the death ceremony, decent mourning, and life went on again.

[&]Often seen wearing: Blue-grey bandanna, sleeveless mandarin orange top, blue palace pants. Comfortable red shoes, or sometimes sandals, if the weather is nice. If watching the herd, Kata wears a long brown coat, which has embroidered sleeves, hem and hood. Often wears a necklace made out of a dark blue opal -- a gift from a rockshaping relative who nowadays lives elsewhere.
