[&]History: Mistblossom was born in a time of great peace, in a tribe far from Ember's Thorny Mountain. Her family was displaced centuries later, when the humans killed much of her tribe. She and the surviving members (including Alder and his brother, Fern) wandered a few years, then met Ember and her tribe, and decided to join. During the war that catalyzed Ember and Tier's recognition, her parents were slaughtered, and the Djun displayed their heads on pikes in front of one of his war camps. Mistblossom was able to steal them back and have a proper howl for them, but she never recovered from the humans' brutality.

Mistblossom lived amongst the human children Ember and Tier adopted, and watched as they picked on young Wolfdancer. The humans left her alone, as she didn't care to talk to them much. She tried to stop them a couple times, but was scolded by her elders, thinking her too harsh. When Wolfdancer grew and decided to lead a human-free splinter tribe, she was relieved; she never was fully comfortable in Ember's tribe, always wondering if the adopted humans would turn on the elves. When Wolfdancer asked Mistblossom to join his tribe as the treeshaper, she almost jumped at the chance.

In addition to creating dens and acting as the primary healer for her tribe, enjoys mentoring others in plant lore; however, her most dedicated student, Leafpath, was killed by trolls around Mindlurker's time. She continues to mentor young Deershy. After 15 years of living in Oakleaf and a whirlwind romance, Mistblossom Recognized Badger; their daughter, Moonblade, was born two springs later. Early in her pregnancy, she was given the chief's lock by Wolfdancer, who elected to leave the tribe to be with his mate and child. Though she was originally uneasy with the role, she adapted and led her tribe into quieter, peaceful times. As Moonblade has grown, Mistblossom has had an easier time developing closer friendships with members of the tribe, as she is the only cub and has much to learn. Motherhood originally made her even more protective than she was, but with her daughter now mostly grown, she's become much more relaxed.

[&]Bonded animal: Mothwing is an old, calm wolf named for her extremely soft, pale fur. At 18 turns, she no longer hunts with the pack, nor is she part of the pack at all, but is right at home keeping watch over Mistblossom as she gathers herbs and makes the Holt safer.
