[&]Family:
Mother:Ember
Father: Teir
Lovemate/Lifemate: Recognized and mated to Sonia.
Child(ren): Griff
[&]History: Ember and Teir recognized during the war that caused them to adopt quite a few human children; Wolfdancer was born into a tribe that was as much human as elf. He was smaller by definition than the human kids, and there were more of them. He actually found himself picked on by them, and they weren't kids nearly so long as he was. Even at a young age, Wolfdancer was aware of his status as a future chief, grandson of Cutter, the Chief of Changes, and the idea of being picked on by humans was abhorrent to him. Ember wanted him to toughen up, so she didn't intervene as often as she could've. Fortunately, he inherited his father's gifts and magic, and he found comfort in the paws of the wolves.
Teir was diligent about teaching him how to grow his gifts. The humans, if they never quite learned to respect him, at least learned to respect the wolves that kept pouncing on them when they bothered him one time too many. As the humans grew up, they wanted to make their own settlement, and that worked well enough. But the elfin tribe was growing too, and eventually Wolfdancer split off from Ember, just as she had split from her father. Though the split was amicable, he wasn't the only elf fed up with the humans, so he gathered all those willing to follow him and settled in a new forest. This would be a new holt...a human-free holt, if he had anything to say about it. He absolutely would NOT be adopting any kids like mom and granddad.
Wolfdancer reigned as chief for almost four hands of turns, and it was a peaceful time...human free, with no real challenges, but no real celebrations either. Never tested as a chief, he believed himself equal to his ancestors. But then he Recognized Sonia, the chieftess of the relatively nearby Go-Backs. She was a reluctant mate in the beginning, headstrong and independent, and his attempts to win her slowly whittled away at his leadership ability. He became more secluded, less open to the tribe, and much more interested in his own needs. The tribe took it in stride, and he eventually won Sonia over. Though they were Recognized and called each other "lifemate," they were both also chiefs and determined to continue leading their tribes, so they separated.
However, the Wolfrider chief could not let go of his cub-like, idealized views of Recognition...he'd always imagined he and his Recognized would be like his grandparents, Cutter and Leetah, that he and Sonia would raise cubs and govern their tribes together. His thoughts continued in the same selfish vein, always on when his next visit to the lodge would be, or how he and Sonia would manage to raise their cub together, but living apart. The tribe started to feel forgotten by their leader. A couple seasons after his Recognition, Sonia and her tribe went to war with some vengeful trolls who'd invaded their mountain home; it was during this war and in the aftermath that Wolfdancer realized that he could no longer be separated from his lifemate. He gave up his chief's lock, released his pack of wolves, and left to live with the Go-Backs.
After two years with the Go-Backs, his wolf-pack all but gone, and his cub born, Wolfdancer has experienced some changes. Living with his lifemate has not proven to be the ideal life that his grandparents had, but he hopes to improve things with Sonia.

[&]Hair: Black/brown, shoulder length, left down
[&]Eyes: vibrant blue
[&]Bonded animal:
Name: Strongjaw (Deceased)
Race: wolf
Age: 23
Gender: male
Appearance: Gray. Easily the bigger than average.
Personality/Behavior: While officially mated to Graystreak, he's a bit of a 'dawg', and isn't shy about spreading his DNA around.
Name: Graystreak
Race: wolf
Age: 27
Gender: female
Appearance: Brown wolf with a grey streak from nose to tail. Fur has grayed considerably.
Personality/Behavior: Very calm. She doesn't move well and prefers to lay still. She's forced her way into the lodge to lay by the fire for warmth during the colder months. Very slow moving and she has lost several teeth. She doesn't mind when the elf-cubs play on or around her. She's too sore to care about even having her tail pulled.
