Likes/Dislikes:
+ Quiet nights on the plains, watching the stars and listening to the wind.
+ Being given responsibilities.
+ Riding her pony – she finds a sense of freedom in running like the wind.
+ When elves take her seriously.
- Her conflicting Sunfolk and Wolf blood.
- Elves who can’t take things seriously.
- Listening to long, drawn-out explanations or stories.
- Skyfire/storms – she can’t see the stars and has to rely on her magic only.
Family/Friends:
Mother – Nivali (played by Tam)
Father - Slate (NPC, opposing Plainsrunner tribe)
Mentor - Ashra
History: (At least a paragraph.)
Nyota is the result of a Recognition between Nivali and Slate, a Jack-wolf rider from the opposing tribe. The two met when their tribes met at the Great Crossing around 50 years ago. The two were as opposite as they could possibly be, and as a result they parted very quickly after the calls of Recognition were answered.
As a child, Nyota often felt the conflict of her two sides clashing within her. She showed an affinity for the stars, and she always seems to be able to find her way no matter where she is. After wandering off and getting lost at night in the sea of grass as a tiny youngling, she found her way back with no trouble, much to the relief of her mother. Though Nyota’s sending is not excellent, she is getting better at it, along with expanding her senses to navigation and finding where the tribe needs to be. She doesn’t see her finding magic as anything special, only something that she can contribute to help her people survive. She doesn’t want to have to depend on it.
Often seen wearing: See pictures below for winter and summer clothes.
Body: (skin color, shapechanged features, freckles, anything that doesn't fit below goes here)
Nyota has darkly tanned skin and black hair, though her eyes are slate-gray like her father’s. There is pretty much always a serious expression on her face – a smile is rare for her.
[&]Height/Build: Nyota is slim and not particularly curvy from riding ponies her whole life. She is more lean and wiry than muscular. She stands at 4’, neither tall nor short compared to the rest of her people.
Hair: Long, black, and tied back in a sectioned pony tail that goes almost to her knees. She wears a gold band in her hair.
Eyes: Slate gray, rounded.
Picture: (Optional. Small size, please.)
- Warm and cold weather clothing.
Bonded animal: (wolves for Wolfriders, elks for Go-Backs)
Hazel, a palomino mare. Not magically bonded, but Hazel is the pony she rides all the time. Nyota refuses to get near the jackwolf pack, as she does not want to bond with any of them. They make her uncomfortable.
Bond age (max is late 20s for wolves): 3 years.
