Chatty once you get her started, the kind of elf who will go off on unwanted anecdotal tangents
Regretful of mistakes she made in the past
In the past was very willing to break the rules or disobey orders, but now she’d think very hard before she would do it. Doesn’t exactly toe the line, but really does not want to step out of bounds.
Does equally well in groups or on her own (the ‘in groups’ part took some work)
Skills other than Sending?: (Magical abilities or weapon proficiency.)

Aquatic Survival - Excellent
Trapmaking/ trapping - Very Good
Weather/Tidewatching - Good
Starwatching/Navigating by the sky – Very Good
Personal Combat - OK
Swimming- Excellent
Running- Very Good
Preferred weapons: Trident, net, knife
Sewing (at least enough to repair her own clothes)
(I promise I’ll come up with some things she’s bad at!)
Watershaping (Excellent): When hunting, tends to use this in ways that sea creatures use water to their advantage. For example, effecting the kinetic ‘punch’ of a boxing shrimp, the suction vortex many fish use to feed on smaller ones, or launching streams of water out like an archer fish. She can wrap currents around herself to ‘jet’ like a squid; in this manner she can keep pace with the fish-tailed elves or even outpace them. She can also extend her time underwater by 'bubblemasking'; causing a bubble of air to form around her mouth and throat while she's diving, and keeping it there to draw air from. She’s quite willing to use it to lethal effect against sentient enemies such as well. Quite skilled and versatile. Like any other skill, one is never done expanding the limits of ones ability.

History:
The reformed wild child. She was a reckless, rebellious youth who became downright bitchy when she developed watershaping powers and a whirlpool-sized ego to go with them. She would pick arguments with her elders and hunting partners and after the big ones would disappear for days or weeks at a time to go sulk. Or go swimming off to find other pods, always coming back when she either found nothing or became dis-satisfied with the group she did find. She eventually got over herself, with some help, and became a respectful and respectable member of the tribe and but not before damaging relationships with her leaders and some of her close family, which she had to work at to patch up.
An unfortunate artifact of this time away is a severe phobia of hounds, and anything hound-like. The result of being captured by humans and thrown into a dog-pit for sport. Uwahi was so traumatized by the experience she cannot recall how she escaped it. Nor can she be in the presence of wolves or dogs without suffering extreme panic attacks.
When her brother Ondili moved to Broken Mountain Pod to be with his Recognized, an un-attached elf from that pod came to live with Uwahi's. A sort of elf exchange program. This elf, Arindwe, and Uwahi eventually fell in love. After waiting centuries, when Uwahi was in her early 500s, the couple grew tired of waiting for Recognition to happen. With Panaetha's help, they 'sparked' a pregnancy. Helyan went on to have his own child through natural Recognition. Sadly, he was killed by hunting dogs while trying to rescue his mate from humans. His daughter, Iraelia, is about as old now as Helyan was when he was killed.
Uwahi had long since settled into a role as elder and teacher, by the time the pod (what was left of it) fled Blue Dolphin to escape human encroachment. Once they were settled into New Cove, she explored the region with an eye to shoring up defenses. And later resumed teaching a younger pod-mates the ways of outdoorsmanship and meditation. But 'settled' doesnt mean set in her ways or unwilling to try new things. Two years after the pod set up in New Cove, she has begun experimenting with a 'sting-glider suit' that allows her to swim further and faster than ever before.
The first true crisis in the new home came in the form of a great storm, which brought in its wake several changes to the tribe. Positively, old friends from the south and members of an unknown northern tribe washed up on their shores. Negatively, the discovery of a giant sea monster beneath the cliffs they had fled into. Which killed an elf, Ripple and began stationary rein of biological terror that treated to kill the whole beach. Uwahi soon resolved to find a devise to kill the Maraeva, and the stern northerern Fereng joined her in this mission. The two of them became close, even as her relationship with Rhialee deteriorated over the stresses caused by conflicting views over how to deal with the sea-beast. In the end, the Maraeva was destroyed. Fereng and Uwahi mated not long after.
Following the birth of Brea and Iraelia's pips, Fereng became eager to return to her home waters. Uwahi was eager to follow her. Not only in order to stay at her mate's side. But to discover if there were other elves secretly or unknowingly exhibiting magical powers. In the hopes of helping the members of this magically-starved society to understand and accept these abilities.
Shaped Alterations : Webbed hands and feet. Over-the elbow spiny fins on the arms, similar ones along the back of the lower legs. (Refer to the ‘original’ WaveDancers series, or Softfur’s drawing of Rhialee… I’m glad I’m not the only one who wanted to use that style! ) Elongated
eartips, with a secondary tip below them (again derivative of ‘original’
WaveDancers).
Uwahi does not believe in keeping scars as trophies, especially if such a mark is caused by a human (they do not have the privilege of marking her for life), and when one arises she will seek to have them removed by a healer.
Often seen wearing: Woven onepiece swimsuit; very low cut with much of the sides also cut out. Sharkskin belt, which holds supply pouches and a knife scabbard. Jewlery TBD. (Note: I’m not sure what colors are available at this time)
Hair: Platinum lime (OOC: a pale and bright color, between Korafay’s seafoam and Wavecatcher’s green). Worn in a faux-mullet made by tying the sides of the hair into a tail and draping the rest over that. (Refer to this image: i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa84/JediClone/elfquest/OLH/MCM.png... But the back should be more tapered rather than cut straight-edge). Decorative combs in the flattened areas above the ears, the exposed ends shaped like stylized waves. She prefers semi-short, manageable hair, it’s less hassle underwater.
Body:
Height/Build: 5'2" Long and lean, with firm swimmer's muscles and small round breasts(roughly Aroree’s figure).
Eyes: Green, very close to the hair in color. Somewhat angular, deep-set. Arched eyebrows.
Face: A long lean face to go with her tall, lean body. Thin lips.
Picture: (Optional. Small size, please.)
Bonded animal: None
Any other information:
If Character Becomes Inactive: Move her to the North to live permanently with Fereng.
(EDIT 12/31/16: Updated the CIS for the second timeskip. Removed all pre-exisiting edit notes.)
