[&]History:

Younger son of Scrimshaw and Niera, Murre grew up rather spoiled as the last pip born to the pod. The whole pod basically was extended family and teachers. Surprisingly though he would often pester his true aunt, Fereng, most often. He idolized her ability to hunt and make weapons. He was a rash and impetuous pip though and would drive her and his parents crazy with his antics. He was constantly climbing things and getting into mischief. He was apprenticed to his aunt to learn weaponry and hunting in the hopes that he’d get into less mischief.
He still got into trouble though despite his aunt’s strict teachings. When he was 250, his family was killed by a sawtooth while out gathering supplies. After that, Murre got even more reckless about his stunts. His most famous one was a jump off the highest iceberg in the area (an almost 90 foot drop to the water below). This actually earned him his name, being called after the birds that lived on the islands and used diving to hunt in the water. He discovered he loved the thrill of jumping, making him feel alive after the loss of his family. After losing his parents, he found himself spending more time around his aunt and by extension her soul-sister Brea, who became something of an adopted aunt to him. He would often spend time with her when Fereng and he fought. She and Fereng were the only two exempted from his harassment and torturing.

When Brea's dreams prompted her to leave their birth pod, Fereng went with her and Murre followed quickly after them.  Although a storm ended up bringing him the rest of the way, he eventually reunited with his aunts.  Brea ended up Recognizing one of the new 'frilly warm-water' Podmembers and staying with them.  Fereng felt she needed to return to their birth Pod, accompanied by her new lover.  Murre, not wanting to go back to that boring way of life, stuck around, supposedly to keep Brea company.

[&]Often seen wearing:
A net shirt, a seal-skin fur kilt, gloves and bracers. A seal-leather kidney belt. Usually in shades of blue and green. In whitecold will add a seal-skin coat lined with whitebear fur that he brought from his old Pod.
[&]Body: Pale skin with a hint of brown to it, has black seal-spots along his arms, legs, and back as well as up his neck and along his hairline.
[&]Height/Build: 5’3”, broad shoulders, narrow waist, built thick, but not husky (think soccer player)
