Author's note: More will be added later on.
The Woodlands
- Wolves: Large enough to carry their riders, the wolves' fur colour range from light to dark to gray and brown hues. Pack-living, team-working animals, that communicate with barks, yips and howls. Smarter than other animals.
- Bears: Very large beasts, that tend to live alone. At the moment, there is quite few of them in the forest, considering Redmane's bond, who keeps his territory neat and clean from intruders. Things might change when it's mating season. Fur colours range from lightbrown to darker hues, maybe even to black.
- Tuftcats: Similar to our world's lynx/bobcat. Their most significant sign are the tufts on their ears, while the pelts range with different (and unique) sets of spots and stripes. These animals live alone, but couple up for mating season. Female is again left alone once the mating is done and takes care of the young alone.
Sizes differ considering their living place; tuftcats in the holt-area are smaller than average*, tuftcats in coniferous forests are bigger than average and plains' cats are huge.
*average = lynx/bobcat in our world
- Rabbits: Small and long-eared animals, with short tails. Their fur is usually brown. They do not provide much meat, but their fur is soft and good to use in small pouches and garnments.
Fox: Small predator, that does not provide much meat for the hunting elves. Appreciated for the beautiful red-copper-tinted fur. These small predators are cunning and smart animals, that feed mostly on mice and rabbits. They live in burrows, mostly made by some other animals that have been abandoned.
The Hillsides
- Icebears: Slightly bigger than their forest-dwelling cousins, these bears are the biggest danger in the hills and mountains. Their furcolour varies from very light to semi-dark.
- Snowcat: Around the size of a snowleopard, these wildcats have a pelt of white and silver. They hunt on deers and elks, and hold a large territory for themselves. They have a long and thick tail, and pointed ears. Their pelts, claws and fangs are prized.
- Hare: Bigger than their forest-dwelling rabbit-cousins, hares have summer hair and winter hair. Summer fur is grayish brown, while during winter the hares change into white fur with black tips of ears. Hares do not burrow like ravvits, but they are swift runners and defend themselves with kicks if a quick escape does not help. Hares do not live in large groups, mainly mates live together with their young, until the offspring is old enough to live on their own.
- Wild hen: Large bird, that is an appreciated prey animal because of the tasty meat and useful feathers. They appear in light brown and grey feathers, and the males have two red dots beneath their beaks, around the area where cheeks connect to the neck. Males are also darker in colour compared to the females, and during spring time, the males end up having big fights with each other in order to win the right to mate.
