Shade and Sweet Water to Everyone!
The admins of Oakleaf Holt hope everyone is well and safe, the pandemic has taken a toll on all of us and the past few years have seen a decline in roleplay on the site. Have no fear! We realize that large sweeping plot arcs that involve the entirety of the tribe are difficult to keep up with and put pressure on players to perform which was not the intention of the site. Therefore, we are proposing moving all active roleplay to Discord. Those who want to display their roleplay threads can still by all means use the site the old way and post whatever you have collaboratively written for your characters from whatever medium, be it Discord or Google Docs or whatever. This means that Proboards is changing to a more archival role that allows outsiders to see what we’ve written, get characters approved, and see all archived threads. The more active social part of roleplay can be done through the chat app discord. This allows players to play in real-time with one another and also allows for others to keep in social contact with each other so we don’t feel disconnected. Most of us have smartphones or PCs that can access the app and Chatango is no longer supported since it ran on Flash.
We want all of you to feel like you can come and go as you please with roleplay, or just socialize as you see fit. Oakleaf After Dark is still up and running for those who want a more adult place to post any ERP they want others to see. We look forward to seeing you all on Discord!

There are three roles on this server: Mods, Roleplayers, and Readers. All current players who join will be automatically given the role Roleplayer, any new members going forward are Readers and will need to have a CIS approved on Proboards before we can allow the role to be changed. We are here for any questions and look forward to RPing with you all again!

Otherwise hi to everyone and I'm doing well despite everything. I hope the new year has treated you all well so far!
But when it comes to Discord, I have had some really strange issues with it in this drawing club I'm in, so I'm reclutant to use it at all. Though the drawing club is mostly video meetings so I guess the issues might mostly have to do with that and not so much the chat.
I'm sure it was due to the fact they were video meetings.
