The Wolfrider's Wolf Pack

With the departure of Wolfdancer and the influx of new players, it's time to define which wolves fit where in the pack! Please reply to this thread with the rank you wish for your wolf to have in the Wolfriders' pack, how they look like (fur color and special/obvious characteristics) and a short summary of their personality. It will be added to the list below. We are integrating some of Wolfdancer's wolves; if you see a wolf with no bond, and would like to bond with it, let us know.

Please be aware there can be only one Chief, one Second and one Third couple in a pack, though the latter two are usually alone. If more than one player wishes for their character's wolf to be Chief or Second and their genders don't match up to be mates, it can be rolled for to make the ultimate decision.

Don't forget, the oldest age a Wolfrider wolf can become is twenty-three at maximum!




Goldruff

Elf friend: Shadow
Gender: male
Age: adult (7)
Appearance: Large, brownish-grey with a lighter gold ruff around his neck and shoulders.
Personality: Goldruff is protective of Shadow, though he's inserted himself into the wolf pack over the last turn. His size, confidence and generally calm disposition make him a natural leader, even if his elf-friend is not.

Fang

Elf friend: Foxtrail
Gender: female
Age: adult (5)
Appearance: Big, grey fur with black streaks, emerald eyes.
Personality: Confident, territorial, loyal, stubborn and protective over cubs. She switched packs after bonding with Foxtrail. She was a beta in Wolfdancer´s pack and now fights for alpha position.




Shawl

Gender: female
Age: 10
Appearance: Dark grey mixed with white, lighter grey across her shoulders
Personality: Feisty and hardheaded does not put up with crap from other wolves but knows when to pick her battles or play them off.

Blackmoon

Elf friend: Thorndust
Gender: male
Age: adult (11)
Appearance: Black fur with a silver undercoat. yellow eyes. pretty big.
Personality: Kind of a loner. part of the pack, but not alpha, as he just isn't a terribly sociable wolf. super close to Thorndust, hunts with her more often than with the pack. higher rank mostly due to general size, not something he really worked for. Once the Second position opened and some of Wolfdancer's pack integrated into the Wolfrider pack, Blackmoon found himself disgruntled by having to take orders from them, so he challenged and won the Second position. Shawl joined his when Shadestep joined the tribe, but he's not sure what to think of her yet...but he is glad to have another wolf do to his job.




Dunekicker

Gender: male
Age: 8 years old
Appearance: A huge brindle jackwolf with a white patch on his muzzle. Silver eyes
Features: medium-large build, large paws, and silver eyes.
Quirks: Named for his penchance to mark and then kick mounds of sand afterward, forming mini 'dunes' in his wake.
Personality: Strong and protective of his bond, playful to those he likes, but will growl, hackles up, if he doesn't know or like you. He particularly loves having the base of his tail rubbed. He's itching to find a place to call home.


Glow

Gender: Female
Age: 4
Appearance: She is a light dull yellowish color with yellow eyes.
Personality: Extremely reliable and dependent and never afraid to bite back and stand her ground. Glow also has a tendency to mirror feelings. When Kehn feels angered, she often tends to get annoyed herself for no reason. And if there are enough elves acting in any particular way, she starts reacting based on that feeling. Glow loves to play and often has a "I'm better then you" feel to her personality and motions.

Great White

Gender: male
Age: young adult
Appearance: Large body, very light fur (not actually white, might appear white if one squints their eyes and looks at the wolf in a dark forest). No special marks so far. Golden eyes.
Personality: Somewhat relaxed, but will reply to aggression with aggression. Is pretty gentle, but aware of his size and strength.

Juniper

Elf friend: Tenderleaf
Gender: Female
Age: Young (2)
Appearance: Gray and brown fur (gray overcoat/brown undercoat), with a lighter gray belly. Lavender-gray eyes.
Personality: She was the runt of the litter, and tends to sit by on the sidelines and watch, rather than joining in wolf-games and pack fights. She is scrappy, though, and speedy, which has earned her some respect, despite her smaller size.

Lucky

Gender: female
Age: adult (12)
Appearance: Average sized wolf with fur of black and gray shades. Yellow eyes.
Personality: A team-player; gets along and knows everyone's place in the pack. Protective of cubs, fond of Hawk. Named Lucky because she seems to bring luck to her rider, rather than because she is lucky herself.

Moss

Gender: male
Age: young (2)
Appearance: Grey and brown fur, yellow eyes.
Personality: Lazy and likes attention, hunts well enough but works better in a pack hunt, likes taking leisurely rides and walks. Friendly, easily caught up in the pack behaviours gets firsky and drops the lazy when its time to hunt.

Swiftglade

Gender: Male
Age: 5
Appearance: Various shades of darker grey top line with lighter grey underbelly. Amber grey eyes.
Personality: Very close to Deershy, he is non confrontational in the pack, he simply defends his middle position. He is around Deershy most of the time if only because she relies on him for company. They are often out and about in the forest by themselves.

Appearance: Average sized wolf, coat is flecked with reddish brown (hence the name).
Personality: Playful, curious and kind. Somewhat submissive and inexperienced due to his young age.

Growler

Personality: Quite grumpy for a wolf, she wants cubs of her own, and hasn't had a one. Her wolfy biological clock is ticking, but her rank isn't high enough to satisfy it.

Appearance: Pale grey, very soft fur. shy brown eyes.
Personality: Extremely shy, very submissive around other wolves. Nervous around wolves not in the pack and newcomers. Very protective and close to her bond. Capable hunter, with the pack or alone.

Personality/Behavior: Named such for his curiosity, and he tries to decipher the world with his nose.

Appearance: Big and dark ash grey.

Appearance: Scruffy and thin reddish brown fur with bright yellow eyes and an almost skinny body. His left ear is torn and a few scars can be seen across his snout. His clear characteristic are his very long legs, making him rather tall.
Personality: Jumpy, aggressive, paranoid and overconfident. He is at his best behavior when around Softfur but can still snap and growl at others. The bond with Softfur was never very strong, and he was killed trying to take down a branchhorn on his own.

Appearance: red brown mixed with darker shades across his back to his tail

Appearance: Sleekly built wolf with light grey fur which is lighter at the belly and darker across the back. He has piercing golden eyes.
Personality: Quick and impatient at times, especially during hunts. Since his return to the Holt, he has been challenging both the Alpha and the Beta. It is a guess that with his age creeping up on him he is trying to find his worth. After his bond died in the troll war, he fell asleep and never woke up.

Appearance: Very big in size, totally black with green eyes.
Personality: Friendly to all, but loyal to Cru first. After her death in the troll war, and the release of Wolfdancer's wolves from his control, he left to create his own pack.

Flicker

Age: unknown, deceased
Personality: Enthusiastic, fast to act and reckless.

Lightning
Elf friend: Wolfdancer
Gender: female
Age: 8, now wild
Appearance: light tan, jagged streak of black on her back.
Personality: Lightning is the fastest of the pack. She often hunts down small game. She served as a second in Wolfdancer's pack, but she couldn't attain the same rank when he left.

Pouncer

Gender: Male
Age: 8 (Died while hunting)
Appearance: Shades of brown, mostly light brown.
Personality: Happy, satisfied wolf. Content with his life, his home, his family. Independent even though bonded.

Shine

Gender: female
Age: elder (deceased)
Appearance: medium gray wolf with lighter underbelly and face. Dark eyes.
Personality: Loyal to her bond, getting snappy and achy. Guarded Firebird for almost four hands of turns before the elf was removed from her cocoon, and died shortly after she knew her elf friend would be taken care of.

Silvertip

Appearance: Greyish tip of his right ear.
Personality: A outgoing wolf, still acts like a pup most of the time. Died of old age.

Stone

Age: 21 (Died of old age)
Appearance: A grey wolf. Dark eyes.
Personality: More of serious wolf than not. Didn't care for too much playing. Preferred to sleep, eat, or hunt. Bonding with young Kehn was very hard on the wolf.

Thunderlane

Elf friend: Blaze
Gender: male
Age: 23 (deceased)
Appearance: dark grey and gold
Personality: originally bonded to Blaze's mother, he allowed Blaze to "inherit" him as a bond. He is very protective of her, and left the pack when Blaze and Redmane left the tribe, but he died soon after, simply of old age.

Gender: female
Age: 14
Appearance: mottled brown and black
Personality: definitely a chatterer, Twitter had to tell everyone what life was like, even as a newborn cub. She was a talented hunter, never one to stir up trouble, but she had a lot of energy and had a hard time sitting still. She died in a hunting accident; her patience had always been short, and she rushed in at just the wrong time.

Woodstrider

Appearance: Brown, many shades.
Personality: Best hunter when it's not winter. His coat naturally blends into woods.
